Journalist questions

A way to solve problems

Journalists are taught six key questions that need to be asked, and answered, for any article or news story to be complete and accurate. The questions, of course, are:

  • Who?
  • What?
  • When?
  • Where?
  • Why?
  • How?

These questions can also help us create problem-solving strategies in a business environment.

We can use them to break the situation down into its component parts, engage in thoughtful conversations and analysis, and develop creative solutions that target the problem area(s).

The following examples are for developing customer personas, and for creating a product marketing roadmap.
